Oh Havana – vintage cars, beautiful historic buildings and lots of colors. This city is truly one of a kind. When wandering the many streets of Havana, you wanna be comfortable, stylish and wearing some light breathable clothing as it gets hot in this Caribbean city. Here is everything that you should consider packing and wearing on your Cuban trip:
Being a tropical destination, Havana is only suited for summer clothing. Pack dresses, shorts, shirts and maybe a light cardigan to put on during a cooler night. Clothing does not need to be conservative, so wear whatever you feel confident in. If you’re planning on spending a day by the pool, then don’t forget to bring your swimsuit. Fancier clothes are only needed, when attending the Tropicana show, but not for a regular night out in Havana.
DRESSES
During our time in Havana, I actually only wore dresses. Flowy, airy dresses made out of a light fabric are the best choice to beat the Cuban heat. If there is one place to wear colorful clothing and tropical prints, then it is without a doubt Havana.
ACCESSORIES
Pack some fun and colorful accessories, comfy flat shoes and a cute purse that fits all your necessities for a day of exploring the city. I also loved adding a headband to complete my outfits in Havana. Oh, and don’t forget your sunglasses!
WHAT ELSE TO PACK?
Things that you shouldn’t forget packing are definitely some insect repellent, sunscreen to protect your skin from the Caribbean sun and hand sanitizer. We actually also purchased a Havana travel guide book before traveling to Cuba, as it comes with a map of the city and it was quite practical in a city with almost no Internet.
What would you wear in Havana? Would you add anything to this list?
