When thinking about your travel outfit, there is an unavoidable struggle between wanting to look fashionable and presentable when arriving and being cosy and comfortable considering that you will be sitting in a tiny space for several hours. Ideally, your clothes should also be reused with other outfits at your travel destination, because we all know that packing light is another challenge that we need to handle. So, yes the struggle is real! But don’t worry, because I’ve got your jet setting wardrobe covered: here are the things that you should wear on a flight.
Basics
Let’s start with the basics! Leave the tight clothes in your suitcase and put on some loose layers to combat the hot/cold situation up in the air. The layers also come handy when traveling through various climates (imagine cold & snowy Kazakhstan to hot & humid Bangkok – yes, that happened). Try to wear breathable and soft fabrics like cotton, silk or linen.
Bottoms
Nine out of ten times, I will choose black stretchy bottoms to wear on a plane (or let’s be real: in everyday life). They are not only comfortable, but they basically match with everything else, too. Black pants are also a great foundation for every other travel outfit that you might be wearing on your journey.
Shoes
When it comes to shoes, comfort is key. The last thing that you want to worry about on an eternal flight are aching feet. I usually wear my favorite pair of Nikes, which can truly be a lifesaver. If you’re on a longhaul flight, you should also consider how easily you can slip your shoes off and on.
Stay warm
I don’t know about you, but I am always freezing on a plane. To quickly cover you up, when it’s chilly in the cabin consider bringing some fuzzy socks, a long cardigan or a turtleneck sweater. Sit back, relax and enjoy your cosy flight.
Accessoires
Keep bulky jewelry to a minimum to avoid long waiting at the security and uncomfortable situations inside the plane. I like to have a hat in my carry-on in case my hair needs some coverage after a long flight. In addition, it dresses every outfit up – a win-win situation!

I’ve been always dreamingabout looking great when I am flying. Unfortunately, I’ve never succeed, haha. I am always wearing track suit and don’t have any make up.

Great tips! For bottoms, I can no longer make myself wear options other than my yoga pants in not-so-loud prints! They’re soooooo comfortable! =)
