We were warmly welcomed, the staff promptly took care of our luggage and after a quick and smooth check in, we were accompanied to our room.
Location
The Ritz-Carlton Kuala Lumpur is centrally located in Bukit Bintang, also called Kuala Lumpur‘s Golden Triangle. Bukit Bintang is the city’s shopping and entertainment centre. Nearby, guests can find KL’s landmark, the Petronas Towers, the popular street food market Jalan Alor as well as the Menara KL Tower. The upscale Pavilion Mall is in walking distance from the Ritz-Carlton.
The One Bedroom Suite
My fiancé and I stayed three nights in the beautiful One Bedroom Suite on the 12th floor. A spacious suite with a modern and sophisticated look and a neutral color palette that resembles an upscale residence. We felt very welcome and we’re ready to enjoy our home for the next days.
When entering the suite, you will immediately notice how generously sized and bright it is. The suite consists of a living room that features a working desk, a coffee making machine, a dining table as well as a lounge area with a couch and a TV. In addition, a separate guest bathroom is also available.
The luxuriously appointed bedroom includes a king-sized feather bed, where we had the best nights of sleep and recovered from our long haul flight, another TV and also a walk-in closet with a separate powder room. So, we had more than enough space to fully unpack our luggage.
My favorite room was without doubt the luxurious bathroom that is completely covered with marble, which gives it an opulent touch. Generous in size, the bathroom comes with a separate bath tub and shower. Complimentary Asprey amenities and bath robes are available for guests as well. Nothing is missing here!
Restaurants at Ritz-Carlton Kuala Lumpur
The Ritz-Carlton Kuala Lumpur offers its guests a selection of exceptional gastronomic dining options. During our stay we had the pleasure to experience all five restaurants.
The Cobalt Room
We started each day with breakfast at The Cobalt Room in an elegant setting. Besides international and local specialities, fresh fruits, cold and warm dishes and a selection of pastries, the buffet-styled breakfast also includes a cooked-to-order station as well as a fresh juice bar. Guests can order dishes and fresh pressed juice according to their taste and preferences. We enjoyed breakfast each morning to the fullest and were fueled to explore the city.
The Library
Each Sunday, the Ritz-Carlton Kuala Lumpur welcomes guests to the Sunday roast at The Library, a chic place that showcases a curated collection of books. A beautiful spread of delicious sea food, salads, main dishes, appetizers, desserts and, of course, the signature roasts awaits guests. Your memorable lunch will be accompanied by live music and an unlimited flow of Prosecco.
The Dégustation Menu dinner at The Library offers guests innovative menus that change with the season. The contemporary creations are paired with wines. I particularly liked the grilled scallops served on spinach puree. A truly excellent culinary experience.
Li Yen
The award-winning authentic Cantonese restaurant Li Yen is open for lunch and dinner. If you’re having lunch at Li Yen, then you should not miss their famous dim sums. We had a table booked for dinner and were impressed by the very attentive staff and the extensive menu. I also loved the sophisticated and refined interiors. Our favorite picks were the Peking duck served with pancakes and the signature golden prawns. So good! Chinese tea or rice wine will complement your dining experience.
The Lobby Lounge
Afternoon Tea at The Lobby Lounge is truly an experience. We enjoyed a three-tier tray of sweet and savory treats like quiches, desserts and freshly baked scones with a pot of high quality tea while listening to a live quartet in stylish, but elegant ambience. It does not get more fancy than that!
The Patisserie
For a light meal or coffee break head to The Patisserie at the Ritz-Carlton Kuala Lumpur. Savory dishes like a salmon salad or a wagyu burger can be find on the menu as well an assortment of cake and dessert. The Patisserie is arranged in a relaxed and stylish ambience. 
Facilities and Services
Ritz-Carlton Kuala Lumpur is nothing short of services and facilities. The impeccable service that the Ritz-Carlton hotels are known for is ensured throughout the property. The staff will greet you by your name, an afternoon treat will await you upon returning to your room and each staff member will go above and beyond to make your stay memorable.
The property has two pools, one of them is an adult-only pool next to Spa Village. Sunbeds, towels and water are available free of charge. The peaceful atmosphere made the pool area the ideal oasis amidst the busy city.
A fully quipped gym and kids room Ritz Kids can be found next to the pool area.
After a day of sightseeing, I was particularly looking forward to a session full of pampering and relaxation at The Spa Village. My fiancé and I had a couples treatment booked, the Traditional Royal Malay Tretment. This three hours treatment involves a both bath and scrub, multiple facial and body massages, a body scrub and steam and afterwards guests can unwind at the private herbal bath. We left feeling complete serenity after the ultimate pampering session.
