Quarantine day…I’ve honestly stopped counting. While most of us are home and self-isolating, travels had to be canceled and plans changed. If you’re looking for a way to cure your wanderlust during quarantine, then here are some tips:
Plan your next trip
Use this time at home to plan extensively your next trip. Where did you plan to travel next? Make an itinerary, look for flight routes, read hotel reviews and write down everything you want to see and do. You will never be as prepared as this time.
Get creative with your travel photos
I have so many photos from our past travels, that I started to print them out and made a big collage. Every time we come back from a trip, we choose our favorites and add them to the collage. Additionally, I also created a travel journal to keep all memories alive. I fill it with airplane tickets, photos, notes, entrance tickets and everything else that will remind me of that trip.
Learn to make your favorite dish
I‘m sure all of us have a favorite dish that we discovered while traveling to a foreign destination. During my stay in Thailand I learnt how to make Pad Thai and I will definitely try to recreate it at home. So, what is your favorite dish? Learn a new skill and surprise your quarantine buddy with a delicious home cooked meal.
Visit virtually a museum
Thanks to Google Arts & Culture you can visit numerous museums virtually all around the world. From NYC to Paris and Florence or Seoul, pass your time with a virtual museum or gallery tour. There is so much to choose from so that it will keep you occupied for hours.
Be inspired
Pinterest is the best place to get inspired and to plan future dream travels. Make a board and put together everything that would make up the perfect trip to your dream destination. From things to do, restaurants recommendations, cute cafés, outfit inspo or hidden gems to discover, Pinterest is the ideal place to daydream your travels. By the way, do you follow me on Pinterest?
