When you would asked me about my biggest challenge regarding my traveling gear, then my answer would definitely be: properly protecting my camera in a fashionable way. So, why is that you might asked then? Well, I’m usually not that type of person, who you would catch wearing a massive backpack (on the road and at home). Of course, I want my beloved camera stored in a safe place when exploring the world, but I don’t really want to carry a clunky backpack. Yes, the struggle is real.
I’ve been looking for a stylish camera bag that I would happily carry with my every day, whether I would wander around a city or eat dinner between locals. Recently, I came across GATTA, who made their mission to design chic and protective camera bags for all the travelers and photographers out there. This black beauty is not only stylish, but also practical and perfectly made for traveling. From the outside, it looks like a regular purse, but on the inside it’s a functional camera bag.
The inside compartments are padded, so that your camera is safely stored. I really like that you can take the compartment out, which makes it super versatile. There is also an additional handy pocket, in which I store my phone, a little notebook and my lipstick. All the essentials that I need!
The thoughtful features let you comfortably fit your camera, an extra lens and other little things that you might need. Another advantage is certainly the stylish look of this bag. It does not only go perfectly with your outfit, but it does also not advertise your expensive equipment that you carry inside.
One of the best investments that you can make is getting your hands on a durable and practical camera bag. When you’re out and about snapping our beautiful world, you want your camera to be properly protected.
Other Tips:
- When packing your bags, make sure to alway put your camera in your hand luggage. This way, you will ensure that it won’t get stolen or damaged. You can always keep an eye on it and treat it carefully.
- Consider to downsize your photography gear. Ask yourself, if you really need a bulky professional DSLR. One of the things that I had considered when buying my camera, was its size and weight.
- Having a camera bag that doesn’t have the look of a regular camera bag comes with the advantage of minimizing the threat of theft.
What about you? Do you have any tips how to properly protect your camera while traveling?

Super cute. I always walk around with my functional but ugly camera bag hidden behind my purse. Didn’t know there were options as pretty as this one. Great info 🙂

I love this! It’s great how it just looks like a normal bag, so you won’t have people targeting camera theft going after it. Did you find that you’re able to put everything else you need for a day out and about in there, too?
