In June, me and my boyfriend went to Greece for the first time to discover the island Kos and enjoy some beach life. After spending some time at the local beach, we were in need of a change in scenery. In preparation of our vacation, we read about various beaches in Kos to be aware of our possibilities. We checked out some of them and these two were our favorites.
Quick Tip: There are a lot of offers to book a day tour to different beaches by boat. They are not expensive and some serve food as well (+ you will get a tan super quick).

Agios Stefanos
This beach is located in the south of Kos and can be reached by bus or boat. The highlight of this beach is the tiny island in front of the it that has a small and typical Greece church on top of it. It’s great and uncommon view! Other positive aspects include the super clear water and the lack of tourist crowds (side note: we visited Kos during off-season). Near the beach are some ruins, restaurants and cafés.
Paradise Beach
This sandy beach, which is also called Bubble Beach, can be found in the south of the island near Agios Stefanos. It owes its name to a volcanic phenomena that produces bubbles to cool the water. The water at Paradise Beach is crystal clear and very shallow, so that you can swim quite far without actually being in deep water. A lot of water sports and fun activities are being offered, which also explains the crowds of tourists (the only downside of this location). This beach can be reached by bus or by a speedboat because there is no port.
