During my last visit to Istanbul, I was on a mission to explore and look into the Hyatt Centric Levent in merely 24 hours. Located outside the touristy hustle and bustle of Istanbul, the Hyatt Centric resembles a boutique-style hotel with all the luxurious standard one might need during a stay abroad. So, I was eager to check it out myself. Spoiler alert: I would have loved to extend my stay! Here is what my 24 hours stay at the Hyatt Centric Levent in Istanbul looked like:
Quick Overview
The Hyatt Centric Levent can be described as a luxurious lifestyle boutique hotel with a cosmopolitan vibe. The five star property boasts with modern and stylish interior throughout the hotel. The hotel is located in Istanbul’s vibrant and lively business district Levent. In walking distance you can find shopping malls, many restaurants and bars. A subway to reach surrounding neighborhoods such as Beyoglu is just a few steps way from the hotel.
The Room
The first thing that I noticed upon entering the room, was its spacious size. It felt like a small city apartment rather than a hotel room due to the living room area. As the rest of the hotel’s stylish and contemporary interior, the room was also decorated in shades of nude, grey and white, which gave the room a luxurious touch. The wooden floor and walls complement the interior very well.
Being a luxury hotel, our room was perfectly outfitted with all necessities and even more: a comfortable king bed, a mini bar, coffee and tea making facilities, complimentary water (always so nice, when this is provided!), a large working desk, a TV, complimentary Wi-Fi, a lot of closet space and a cosy living room corner.
Another perk of the room at the Hyatt Centric Levent was definitely the huge terrace, which overlooks the financial district and is surrounded by sky scrapers. Not your typical view of Istanbul!
The bath room was just as generous in size as the room. A glass wall divides the room and the bath room, however for more privacy there is a curtain that can be pulled. The interior consists of marble, glass and light tones, which seamlessly complete the contemporary and chic look of the room. The bath room featured a hairdryer, complimentary amenities, a beautiful bath tub, a big shower, bathrobes and a huge mirror with perfect make up lighting. Nothing missing here!
Breakfast
As we had to catch an early flight, we were one of the first guests to arrive at breakfast. The buffet style breakfast was neatly organized and offers guests Turkish breakfast staples as well as international favorites. Baked goods, fresh fruits and vegetables, a selection of cheese and freshly made waffles are just some of the choices that guests can enjoy. As soon as we were seated a friendly waitress would take our orders for coffee and tea. We’ve also ordered my favorite Turkish breakfast dish called Menemen, scrambled eggs with tomato and sweet pepper. Make sure to eat it with simit, a kind of sesame bagel, and Turkish tea. So good!
Service and Facilities
During our 24 hours stay, we wanted to take full advantage of the hotel’s broad offer of facilities and services. We headed to the large indoor pool first and also enjoyed the jacuzzi after a day of walking through Istanbul. The heated floor is without a doubt a nice touch and provides the pool area with coziness.
The extensive and elegant-looking spa area also includes a sauna, a steam room, a snow-room and a Turkish hammam. In addition, treatments can be booked. Besides the spa, guests can use a fully equipped gym.
Next to the lobby, guests can find the Gold Bar situated in an elegant environment. Apart from drinks, the Gold Bar also provides Turkish and international dishes. The absolute eyecatcher is the large aquarium! Other facilities include the All day Dining Restaurant, which offers Italian cuisine, and a nightclub.
The Hyatt Centric Levent embodies luxury standards while also providing the ideal setting for a city escape that ensures a maximum of comfort, relaxation and a quiet atmosphere. The contemporary and stylish appearance of the property fits perfectly its surrounding neighborhood Levent.
The hotel is suitable for couples, business travelers and the modern-day traveler alike, who look for a luxurious vibe, helpful staff and comfort in a unique location in the vibrant city Istanbul.
As mentioned above, I would have really not minded staying another couple of nights at the Hyatt Centric Levent. I guess, next time!
Thank you to the Hyatt Centric Levent Istanbul for hosting me! The opinions expressed on this blog and the photos are as always my own.
